Creating a tweet template

This type of image will require flexibility built into it to account for different backgrounds, colors, and contrast with the logo. Depending on how many images you post in a tweet will influence the size. Next, you will create a template for a tweet containing a single image:

Switch to the Artboard tool by left-clicking on the artboard name Tw-Header. When the widgets appear along each side of the artboard, left-click on the right-hand Widget (Figure 6.10, A) to create a third artboard.

Double left-click the artboard name Artboard-1 in Layers. Enter a new name of Tw-1200x675-01 and press Enter to apply the name change. Ensure that the Artboard tool is still active. From Options, change the Width of the active artboard to 1200 px and the Height to 675 px. Press Enter to apply the changes.

Go to File → Place Linked, browse to the 06-Social folder, and select the file named Trek-B.jpg. Click Place when done.

From the Options bar, change the Scale to 27% and click on the Commit Changes button. Reposition the artwork so that both hikers and the peak of the mountain are visible on the artboard.

With the hiking photo still active in the Layers panel, press the D key to reset the foreground and background colors in the Tools panel. This will ensure that when we set the following gradient, black will be active. Click on the Fx icon at the bottom of the same panel (Figure 6.11, A) and choose Gradient Overlay from the list.

When the dialogue appears, the gradient setting should be visible. Set Blend Mode to Mutiply, Opacity to 100, Angle to 90, and Scale to 100%. Choose Linear from the Style drop-down menu, turn off the Reverse checkbox, and activate the Align with Layer checkbox.
